When you add or cut parts of a movie, the movie file keeps only a record of what you changed. The movie plays correctly, but the changes are not actually made within the file. (Any other movies from which you've copied segments need to be present when you play the new movie.)
To change the movie's size and contents to reflect your changes and to eliminate dependence on other movies, save the file as a self-contained movie (see instructions for saving).
